Private Dining FAQ's
What is the room rental fee?
We are currently running a promotion right now waiving the room rental fee
with a food & beverage minimum spend, which is dependent on the date and time of
your event.
Can we bring our own dessert?
Yes! You can bring your own dessert at no additional cost. However, if
we are supplying plates and utensils for your dessert, there is a $30 fee.
Can we play our own music?
The Exchange:
Yes! You are welcome to play your own music with any device that has a
headphone adapter for us to plug you into our sound system. We recommend you have
your device fully charged before your event, as there is no charging station where your
device will be.
Brooklyn & The Butcher:
Yes! You are welcome to play your own music but you must supply your own Bluetooth speaker or sound system. We recommend you have your device fully charged before your event, as there is no charging station where your device will be. House music is always an option.
Do you have a screen we can use?
The Exchange:
Yes! We have a mounted 72 inch screen that you can use with any HDMI device or a
thumb drive.
Brooklyn & The Butcher:
Yes! We have a screen and projector you can rent for $100
Do we have to go downstairs to use the restroom?
The Exchange Pub + Kitchen:
No! There is a restroom in the Stables. We find stairs and alcohol are not a winning
combination
Brooklyn & The Butcher:
If your event is in The Lantern Room, you will have to use steps to get to the restrooms. If your event is in The Courtyard, there is only one step on the way to the restrooms.
Will my event come with a bar or bartender?
The Exchange Pub + Kitchen:
Both of our private dining rooms have a full bar and every event comes with at least one bartender.
Brooklyn & The Butcher:
As a more intimate venue, Brooklyn & The Butcher's private dining rooms do not contain separate bars, but provides cocktail servers for seamless service throughout the evening.
Can we customize our menu?
Yes! Our chefs love a challenge and we are eager to accommodate. If we can do it,
we will.
Can we decorate ahead of time?
Yes! Every host will have at least one hour prior to their event to decorate the room
however they would like. If no other event is going on before yours, you may have extra
time. The only restrictions on decorating are no confetti or glitter, no tape on the walls
or paint, and nothing that can damage the room or anything in it.
Catering FAQ's
Do you take special requests?
Yes! Let us know what will make your event perfect, and we’ll do our best to make it
happen.
Can we do a tasting prior to the event?
Yes! We offer FREE tastings for the bride, groom, and event coordinator. Come meet our chef and private dining coordinators at our home restaurant to find out which items work best for your event!
Do you provide linens, glassware, silverware, etc.?
Yes! We can provide rentals.
Do you provide bar services?
Yes! We are licensed and insured in both Indiana and working on our licensing in Kentucky.
Let us know what you would like to have on your bar, or come in for a tasting and to make your own signature
cocktail.
Do you provide flowers?
Yes! Check out our flower page of our menu for our options. If you’re looking for
something custom, we’ll set up a meeting for you and our florist Paula Coleman who can
make most floral arrangements happen.
How much notice do you need for guest counts?
We ask for a final headcount 30 days prior to your event.
Are there any fees we’ll be charged for besides what we already discussed?
All sales are subject to a 6% administrative fee and a 7% sales tax, unless you submit a
tax exemption number with a signed contract.
